* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Banner County in the panhandle of Nebraska...
  Central Scotts Bluff County in the panhandle of Nebraska...

* Until 300 AM MDT.

* At 1149 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 
  inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Scottsbluff, Gering, Terrytown, Minatare, Scotts Bluff National 
  Monument, Hubbard Hill, Wildcat Hills Campground, Wildcat Hills 
  State Recreation Area, Scottsbluff Airport, Lake Minatare 
  Campground, Lake Minatare and Melbeta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
