* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Harrison County in southwestern Iowa...
  Northwestern Pottawattamie County in southwestern Iowa...
  Southeastern Burt County in east central Nebraska...
  Northern Washington County in east central Nebraska...

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 727 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Blair, Missouri Valley, Logan, Mondamin, Modale, Herman, Magnolia, 
  Desoto Bend National Wildlife Refuge, Wilson Island State Park, 
  Historical Village Welcome Center and Summit Lake State Recreation 
  Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
