The National Weather Service in North Platte has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Chase County in southwestern Nebraska...

* Until midnight MDT.

* At 835 PM MDT, Runoff from earlier heavy rainfall continues and 
  doppler radar indicates periods of rain will continue for the next 
  1 to 2 hours. Flash flooding is likely ongoing.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  mainly rural areas of South Central Chase County

This includes the following highways...
	Highway 61 between mile markers 25 and 28.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
