The risk for flash flooding continues for area around Awendaw and McClellanville where an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain could fall through 3 PM. Elsewhere across Charleston County, including Downtown Charleston as well as Edisto Beach and Daniel Island, the heaviest rains have shifted east of those locations. No additional flash flooding is expected. However, many areas remain flooded due to a combination of high tides and rainfall of 4 to 6 inches. It will take several hours for flood waters to recede.
