The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Brown County in northeastern South Dakota...
  Northeastern McPherson County in north central South Dakota...

* Until 545 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 1143 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. 
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS of 3 to 6 inches of rain have fallen. Flash 
  flooding is expected. 

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Leola, Forbes, Elm Lake and Spring Creek Colony. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
