The National Weather Service in Amarillo has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Collingsworth County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Southeastern Wheeler County in the panhandle of Texas...

* Until 100 AM CDT.

* At 944 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported that thunderstorms 
  produced flash flooding in Wheeler and Collingsworth Counties. 
  Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
  amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash 
  flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Wellington, Shamrock, Wheeler, Lutie, Samnorwood and Twitty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
