* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Brewster County in southwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Jeff Davis County in southwestern Texas...
  Northwestern Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Reeves County in southwestern Texas...
  Central Ward County in western Texas...

* Until 100 PM CDT.

* At 759 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Pecos, Fort Stockton, Balmorhea, Grandfalls, Barstow, Saragosa, 
  Balmorhea Lake, Balmorhea State Park, Firestone Test Track, B F 
  Goodrich Testing Track, Coyanosa, Verhalen, Fort Stockton-Pecos 
  County Airport, Toyah Lake, Pecos Municipal Airport, Sierra 
  Madera, Toyahvale, Imperial Reservoir, Star Mountain and Royalty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. 
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a 
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
