The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Western Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Eastern Sutton County in west central Texas...

* Until 245 PM CDT.

* At 1142 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the across eastern Sutton County.  Between 2 and 
  2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 
  2 inches are possible in the warned area as additional storms move 
  up from the south and move over already saturated ground. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Roosevelt, Telegraph, South Llano River State Park, I-10 Near The 
  Sutton-kKmble County Line, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2596 And 
  Ranch Road 864, Cleo and Us-377 Near The Kimble-Edwards County 
  Line.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 410 and 453.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Park Road 73 crossing South Llano River, US HWY 377 crossing South 
Llano River, US HWY 377 crossing 2 miles North of Telegraph, RM 2291 
crossings along Bear Creek, CR 150 crossing South Llano River, River 
Road crossing North Llano River, County Road 260 crossing North 
Llano River, County Road 275 crossing North Llano River and KC 210 
crossing West Bear Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
