The National Weather Service in Lubbock has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Lynn County in northwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Terry County in northwestern Texas...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 234 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have largely 
  exited the warned area. While the heaviest rainfall has ended, 
  excessive rainfall over the past several hours combined with slow 
  drainage is expected to result in the continuation of flash 
  flooding. Up to 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  New Moore, US-380 between Tahoka and Brownfield, and TX-137 
  between Brownfield and Welch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
