The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Bland County in southwestern Virginia...
  Northeastern Tazewell County in southwestern Virginia...
  Southwestern Mercer County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 245 PM EDT Monday.

* At 834 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 
  inches of rain have fallen during the morning. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing across the City of Bluefield in West Virginia, where some 
  automobiles have been flooded up to their roofs.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain and some
           thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding, 
including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather
