* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Isle of Wight County in southeastern Virginia...
  The City of Suffolk in southeastern Virginia...

* Until 400 AM EST.

* At 1253 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the 
  warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The 
  expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Smithfield, Windsor, Downtown Suffolk, Holland, Chesapeake, 
  Suffolk, Isle Of Wight, Kings Fork, Driver, Crittenden, 
  Whaleyville, Rescue, Indika, Kilby, Chuckatuck, Longview, Wills 
  Corner, Wilroy, Magnolia and Suffolk Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
