The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Franklin County in northwestern Vermont...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 602 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain and water ponding on the road at Orchard St 
  and Route 105. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in 
  the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Enosburg Falls, Berkshire, Enosburg Falls Village, Enosburg, 
  Franklin, Sheldon, Richford, Fairfield, North Enosburg, West 
  Berkshire, Enosburg Center, South Franklin, West Enosburg and East 
  Sheldon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
