The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Dane County in south central Wisconsin...

* Until 1230 AM CDT.

* At 1025 PM CDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy 
  rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have 
  fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. 
  Several reports of flooded roadways around the Madison area.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Public reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Madison, Sun Prairie, Fitchburg, Middleton, Waunakee, Verona, 
  McFarland, Monona, Cross Plains, Shorewood Hills, Maple Bluff, 
  UW-Madison, Camp Randall Stadium, Henry Vilas Zoo and Pine Bluff.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
