The Flood Watch is cancelled for the Wind River Basin, Bighorn Basin, Powder River Basin, Natrona County, and the surrounding mountains and foothills east of the Continental Divide in north-central and central Wyoming. The weather system overnight into this morning brought rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches for many areas. The light to moderate rainfall rates and healthy vegetation seemed to mitigate most higher-end impacts; however, some areas did experience ponding of water and minor creek flooding, and Casper did have higher-end flooding due to thunderstorms last evening. Moderate rainfall has now ended for the region, with light rain showers lingering for the Powder River Basin this afternoon. The potential for widespread ponding of water and flood issues is no longer expected; therefore, the Flood Watch is canceled. $$ VandenBoogart
