...SOUNDSIDE FLOODING AND HIGH SURF GRADUALLY IMPROVES THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...

.A coastal low pressure system is rapidly moving away from the
area. Strong northwest winds has brought minor coastal flooding 
to soundside locations along Hatteras and Ocracoke Island, but has
peaked and will gradually recede into Wednesday morning. The low 
continues to rapidly intensify as it moves away from the area with
high surf conditions continuing overnight.

cancelled the Coastal Flood Advisory.

* LOCATIONS...From Cape Lookout north.

* TIMING...through tonight.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Heavy surf and minor beach erosion.

* SURF HEIGHT...6 to 10 feet.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Surf Advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area, producing localized beach erosion and
dangerous swimming conditions.
