...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM EST
FOR PORTIONS OF SCREVEN...EVANS...BULLOCH...JENKINS...CANDLER AND
TATTNALL COUNTIES...

At 128 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Sardis to 6 miles west of Mendes, moving
northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include: 
Statesboro, Reidsville, Metter, Glennville, Millen, Sylvania,
Claxton, Butts, Hagan, Portal, Collins, Cobbtown, Hiltonia, Pulaski,
and Register.

This warning includes I-16 between mile markers 98 and 124.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EST for southeastern
Georgia.

Increased rotation has been detected and a Tornado Warning may be
needed. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop
quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado take shelter
in a closet, bathroom or small central room in a sturdy structure.
