FOR NORTH CENTRAL HYDE...WEST CENTRAL DARE AND CENTRAL TYRRELL
COUNTIES...

At 935 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southwest of Grandy to Middletown, moving east
at 60 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Killkenny, Gull Rock, Gum Neck, Kilkenny, Swindell Fork, Fairfield,
Mashoes, New Holland, Nebraska, Lake Landing, Newfoundland, Fort
Landing, Lake Mattamuskeet, and Frying Pan Landing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EST for eastern North
Carolina.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Newport.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
