* Until 430 AM CDT.

* At 328 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 nm south of
  Matagorda Island 557, moving northeast at 55 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher 
           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure 
           all on board are wearing life jackets.

* The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
