The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Big Island Southeast Waters...
  Big Island Windward Waters...

* Until 500 PM HST.

* At 258 PM HST, a large line of showers capable of producing 
  waterspouts was located south of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 
  from near FAD Buoy SS stretching south to 40 nm southeast of South 
  Point and moving northeast at 30 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  FAD Buoy KH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are
wearing life jackets.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
