...STRONG WINDS, WET SNOW AND RAIN FOR UNALASKA TODAY...

A strong front will move over the Island today bringing a mix of
wet snow, strong winds and rain. Winds will increase out of the
south throughout the day, with gusts ranging from 55 to 65 mph
expected this afternoon. Precipitation will start out as snow, 
but temperatures at sea level ranging from 34 to 37 degrees should
limit accumulation. A transition to rain is likely this afternoon
or evening. Snow accumulations at sea level will range from 1 to 
3 inches, with up to 6 inches expected for those above sea level.
Blowing snow, heavy snow and winds up to 75 mph are likely at 
higher elevations above town. Travel may be difficult at times 
today due to strong winds and slushy snow.
