...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT GRAND CANYON VILLAGE 
AND HERMITS REST IN COCONINO COUNTY THROUGH 130 PM MST...

At 107 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 3 
miles southwest of Grand Canyon Village, moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maricopa Point, Hermit's Rest, Pipe Creek Resthouse, Tusayan, 
Monument Creek Vista, Grand Canyon - South Rim and Grand Canyon 
Village.

This includes State Route 64 between mile markers 236 and 237.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
