...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PIMA COUNTY THROUGH
645 PM MST...

At 558 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along 
a line extending from 8 miles north of Ajo to 16 miles northwest of 
Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Movement was east at 40 mph. 
The portion of the line north of this area through portions of 
Maricopa County is under a severe thunderstorm warning.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ajo, Hickiwan, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Why, Gunsight, 
and KuKatch.

This includes the following highways...
 Route 85 between mile markers 33 and 62.
 Route 86 between mile markers 53 and 73.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
