...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN MARIPOSA AND
NORTHEASTERN MERCED COUNTIES UNTIL 145 PM PDT...

At 103 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Merced, moving southeast at 15 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Merced, Planada and Le Grand. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Large amounts of small hail may fall with this storm. Hail
accumulating along roadways can make travel hazardous.
