...Light snow and colder temperatures continue today across the
mountains...

Colder air continues to pour into eastern Idaho today. Occasional
showers will persist across the central mountains, east toward
Monida Pass and Island Park. Light accumulations will fall as low
as 6000-7000ft, but any chance of accumulation will be above
7000 feet and generally 1 inch or less. Temperatures in the
backcountry will remain in the 30s to mid 40s. Gusty winds will
make it feel colder especially above 8000 feet where wind chills
in the teens and 20s are forecast. Those planning outdoor
activities in the backcountry need to make sure you have the
proper gear and clothing to deal with the colder conditions
anticipated.
