...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT BOURBON...NORTHERN CRAWFORD...
NORTHWESTERN BARTON AND WESTERN VERNON COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM
CDT...

At 929 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Redfield, or 9 miles southwest of Fort Scott,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nevada, Fort Scott, Girard, Arma, Marmaton, Mulberry, Franklin,
Arcadia, Bronaugh, Walnut, Redfield, Hepler, Moundville, Richards,
Deerfield, Burgess, Metz, Stotesbury, Croweburg, and Petersburg.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 91 and 106.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for southeastern
Kansas...and southwestern and west central Missouri.
