SOUTHWESTERN CADDO AND WEST CENTRAL BOSSIER PARISHES THROUGH 1000 AM
CDT...

At 906 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 7 miles southeast of Greenwood, or 8 miles southwest of
Shreveport, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Shreveport, Bossier City, Greenwood, Blanchard, Benton, Stonewall,
Belcher, Eastwood, Fosters, Keachi, Dixie, Keat Chie, Ferguson,
Princeton, Spring Ridge, Cross Lake, Bodcau, Barksdale Air Force
Base, Keithville, and Forbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near Cross Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or 
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
