SOUTHEASTERN ROWAN...SOUTHEASTERN GASTON AND UNION COUNTIES THROUGH
300 AM EDT...

At 235 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles northwest of Badin Lake to 10 miles
southeast of Downtown Concord to 4 miles northwest of Indian Land.
Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Uptown Charlotte, Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, Monroe, Salisbury,
Central Charlotte, South Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, Southwest
Charlotte, and East Charlotte.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for Upstate South
Carolina.
