SOUTHERN MECKLENBURG AND NORTHERN UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM
EDT...

At 540 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Uptown Charlotte, or over Central Charlotte, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Uptown Charlotte, Monroe, Central Charlotte, South Charlotte,
Southwest Charlotte, East Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill, Indian
Trail, and Stallings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
