...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SCHUYLER...NORTHWESTERN
CHEMUNG...EASTERN STEUBEN AND WEST CENTRAL TOMPKINS COUNTIES THROUGH
415 PM EDT...

At 336 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Millport, or near Montour Falls, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Ithaca, Enfield, Watkins Glen, Trumansburg, Catharine, Montour Falls,
Odessa, Burdett, Millport, and Reynoldsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central New York.
