...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Van Zandt, central
Henderson and southeastern Rains Counties through 630 PM CDT...

At 555 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Fruitvale to near Trinidad. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Canton, Grand Saline, Malakoff, Eustace, Fruitvale, Caney City, 
  Purtis Creek State Park, Forest Grove Reservoir, and Cedar Creek 
  Reservoir around 600 PM CDT.
  Athens around 605 PM CDT.
  Van around 620 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Ben Wheeler,
Whitton, Log Cabin, Crescent Heights, Phalba, Star Harbor, Jackson,
Oakland, Walton, and Payne Springs.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 521 and 542.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for central and
north central Texas.
