WINKLER AND CRANE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM CST/530 PM MST/...

At 548 PM CST/448 PM MST/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles north of Kermit to
near Thorntonville to 13 miles south of Pyote. Movement was east at
40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Odessa, Monahans, Kermit, Jal, Wink, Thorntonville, Grandfalls,
Goldsmith, Pyote, West Odessa, Wickett, Roy Hurd Memorial Airport,
Monahans Sandhills State Park, Royalty, Odessa Schlemeyer Field,
Notrees, Bennett, B F Goodrich Testing Track, Penwell, and Pleasant
Farms.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 62 and 119.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CST/1000
PM MST/ for western and southwestern Texas.
