FORT BEND...BRAZORIA...MATAGORDA AND SOUTH CENTRAL HARRIS COUNTIES
THROUGH 330 AM CDT...

At 252 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Beasley to 7 miles northwest of Van Vleck
to near Palacios. Movement was east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pearland, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Matagorda, Rosenberg, Lake
Jackson, Alvin, Angleton, Stafford, Bay City, northwestern Freeport,
Richmond, El Campo, Clute, Wharton, Manvel, Palacios, West Columbia,
Sweeny, and South Texas Nuclear Plant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for
south central and southeastern Texas.
