The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Madison County in central Indiana...
  Delaware County in east central Indiana...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 703 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Alexandria,
  or 10 miles south of Fairmount, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Muncie, Elwood, Alexandria, Yorktown, Albany, Frankton, Eaton,
  Summitville, Gaston, Selma, Orestes, and Ball State University.

This includes Interstate 69 between mile markers 238 and 252.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter such as an interior room, a
bathroom, closet or basement.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for central and
east central Indiana.
