  East central Yancey County in western North Carolina...

* Until 445 PM EDT.

* At 352 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Spruce Pine,
  moving northeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Spruce Pine, Bakersville, Crossnore, Linville Falls, B.R.
  Parkway-Linville Falls To Grandfather, B.R. Parkway-Little
  Switzerland To Linville, Bandana, Ingalls, Minneapolis, and
  Altamont.
