  Tyrrell County in eastern North Carolina...

* Until 945 PM EST.

* At 904 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Snug Harbor to near Lowland, moving east at 60
  mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sladesville, Killkenny, Ponzer, Swindell Fork, Scranton, Gull Rock,
  Gum Neck, Kilkenny, Fairfield, Mashoes, New Holland, Columbia,
  Woodley, Nebraska, Rose Bay, Leechville, Lake Landing,
  Newfoundland, Scuppernong, and Fort Landing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EST for eastern North
Carolina.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

These storms are producing widespread wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW 
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows! 

Please send your reports of hail and/or wind damage, including trees 
or large limbs downed, by calling the National Weather Service 
office in Newport at 1-800-889-6889.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
