The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Shenandoah County in northwestern Virginia...
  North central Rockingham County in western Virginia...
  South central Hardy County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 545 PM EDT.

* At 516 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Basye-Bryce
  Mountain, or 17 miles southwest of Woodstock, moving north at 15
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches 
           to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as 
           damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by 
           downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. 
           Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Basye-Bryce Mountain, Mathias, Basye, Tunis, Orkney Springs, Mount
  Clifton, and Jerome.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Sterling Virginia.
