The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Phillips County in north central Kansas...
  Southwestern Franklin County in south central Nebraska...
  Southern Harlan County in south central Nebraska...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.
    
* At 949 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Orleans, or 23 miles north of Phillipsburg, moving
  east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Alma around 955 PM CDT.
  Harlan County Dam around 1005 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Republican City.
