  North central Bertie County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Southeastern Hertford County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Southwestern Gates County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Northwestern Chowan County in northeastern North Carolina...

* Until 745 PM EDT.
    
* At 715 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Powellsville, or 7 miles southeast of Ahoskie,
  moving northeast at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Harrellsville around 730 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Tunis,
Newsome Store, Rays Beach, Rosemead, Trap, Proctors Corner and
Brantleys Grove.

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
