  Southwestern Gates County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Northwestern Chowan County in northeastern North Carolina...

* Until 815 AM EDT.
    
* At 744 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Hobbsville, or near Ryland, moving west at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Gatesville around 755 AM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Gliden, Easons Crossroads, Rays Beach, Sign Pine, Sandy Cross,
Carter, Trotville, and Buckland.
