The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Rutherford County in western North Carolina...
  Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 815 PM EDT.
    
* At 743 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles southeast of Forest City, or 4 miles southwest
  of Mooresboro, moving northeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Mooresboro around 750 PM EDT.
  Lattimore and Boiling Springs NC around 800 PM EDT.
  Shelby, Kingstown, Lawndale, Belwood and Fallston around 810 PM 
  EDT.

Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include
Cliffside, Henrietta and Caroleen.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
