The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
Northwestern Nye County in south central Nevada...
Southeastern Esmeralda County in south central Nevada...

* Until 900 PM PST.

* At 654 PM PST, an area of dust resulting in near zero visibility
was reported by local law enforcement and confirmed by satellite
observations spanning along Highway 95 between Tonopah and south
of Goldfield. This area of dust was moving southeast at 40 mph.
Portions of Highway 95 from Tonopah southward to Scotty's Junction
could see periods of near zero visibility at times.

HAZARD...Near zero visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60
mph. Power outages are possible as well.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel due to very strong wind
gusts and reduced driving visibility for motorists.

Locations impacted include...
Lida, Lida Junction, Scottys Junction, Goldfield, Silver Peak and
Gold Point.
