The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The island of Kauai in Kauai County

* Until 545 AM HST

* At 250 AM HST, radar indicated persistent terrain-anchored heavy 
  rain over the north facing coasts and slopes of Kauai from Kokee 
  to Haena to Kilauea. A rain gage near Kokee has received over 6 
  inches of rain in the last 6 hours, and flash flooding is likely 
  occurring on the Na Pali Coast. Additionally, water levels are 
  rising in the Wainiha and Hanalei streams, and the road to Hanalei 
  may become flooded later this morning. 

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to...
  Kilauea, Anahola, Wailua, Hanalei, Na Pali State Park, Wainiha, 
  North Fork Wailua Trails, Haena, and Kokee State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in
streams, roads, and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.

Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don/t drown.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 545 AM HST if heavy rain 
persists. 

This warning replaces the previously issued advisory that was in 
effect for portions of the island of Kauai in Kauai County.
