* At 524 PM PST, emergency management reported high flows along
Kelso Creek near Weldon.
If you live or work in the Kelso Creek communities, please pay close
attention to this message.
Due to recent weather, the flood control embankment along Kelso
Creek may be impacted.
Local roads may flood, preventing residents in the Kelso Creek
communities from leaving the area to seek alternative shelter.
Residents in the Kelso Creek communities of Powers Tract, Weldon
Valley Ranchos and Valley Estates are recommended to evacuate as
quickly as possible.
A recommended evacuation means that flooding is an imminent threat
and all persons in the affected area are strongly advised to leave
and seek shelter away from the area. A recommended evacuation will
likely be the last warning given.
An evacuation center will be opened at the South Fork Middle School,
5225 Kelso Valley Road in Weldon. Animal Services will assist with
sheltering dogs and cat pets at the center. As a safety precaution,
do not drive or walk across moving water, mud, or other debris flow.
Additionally, if you have physical limitations and require
evacuation transportation assistance, please call the Aging and
Adult Services hotline at 1-855-264-6565.
Please make sure your neighbors are alerted. This message will be
updated as the situation requires.

thunderstorms is moving eastward and will be within the Ferguson
burn scar region by 4:30 pm PST.
Excessive rainfall over the Ferguson wildfire burn scar will
result in debris flow moving down the slope. Debris flows can
consist of mud, rocks, boulders, vegetation and other structures and
loose materials within their path as they descend down a slope.
