thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to
two inches of rain have fallen since 3 PM, and at least two
streams were near or over flood stage in east Charlotte.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Uptown Charlotte, East Charlotte, Freedom Park, The Plaza,
Southpark Mall, Hidden Valley, Central Charlotte, Mint Hill, South
Charlotte and The Arboretum.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch re possible in the
warned area. The impact of this heavy rainfall will be continued
flooding of Edwards Creek in east Charlotte. McMullen Creek will
also flood portions of Addison Drive. Flash flooding could also
develop on McAlpine Creek and other small streams in the Uptown
area.
