.Synopsis for Stonington ME to Merrimack River Ma out to 25 NM

High pressure will become centered northeast of the waters for the 

next few days. An area of low pressure is expected to move offshore 

of the Mid-Atlantic by early Saturday before lifting to the

northeast, while remaining east of the waters through Sunday. Broad 

high pressure is forecast to center over the western Atlantic early 

next week bringing a more southerly flow back across the waters.

WIND     : Light and variable north of Lambert's Bay, otherwise N to NW

           15 to 25, reaching 30 to 35 south of Hermanus at first, it

           will become W to SW 10 to 20 south of Cape Columbine by mid-

           period.

VIS      : Good, but moderate to poor in showers and rain south of Cape

           Columbine at first.

SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.5m, reaching 5.0 to 5,5m south of Table Bay at first,

           SW swell.



CAPE AGULHAS TO EAST LONDON

WIND     : W to NW 15 to 25, reaching 30 at Cape Agulhas.

VIS      : Good.

SEA STATE: 3.5 to 4.0m, but 5.0m at Cape Agulhas, SW swell.



EAST LONDON TO MAPUTO:

WIND     : N to NE 10 to 20, reaching 25 in places, but S to SW 15 to 25

           south of Coffee Bay reaching 30 to 35 in places at times,

           spreading to Kosi Bay towards by the end of the period.

VIS      : Good, but moderate in showers and rain between Port Edward and

           Kosi Bay in the second half of the period..

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, reaching 3.5 to 4.0m south of Coffee Bay towards

           the end of the period, SW swell.



MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:

WIND     : S to SE 10 to 20, reaching 25 in the north-east but NE 05 to

           15 in the south-west.

VIS      : Good, but moderate in showers and thundershowers over the

           central parts.
