The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for a portion of central Alabama, 

including the following counties, Blount, Calhoun, Chambers, 

Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Etowah, Jefferson, Lee, Randolph, 

Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker and Winston.



The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood 

Watch is being cancelled.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON CDT TODAY THROUGH 

THURSDAY MORNING...



* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 

  possible.



* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following 

  counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chilton, Dallas, 

  Elmore, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, 

  Marion, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Russell, Sumter and 

  Tuscaloosa.



* WHEN...From noon CDT today through Thursday morning.



* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 

  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - An area of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall will

    enter west late this morning track eastward through the day.

    Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop overnight.

    Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts

    are expected.
