...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 

  possible.



* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following 

  parishes, East Feliciana, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe Coupee, St. 

  Helena, Washington and West Feliciana and southern Mississippi, 

  including the following counties, Amite, Pearl River, Pike, 

  Walthall and Wilkinson.



* WHEN...Through this evening.



* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 

  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - Thunderstorms containing very heavy rainfall will move across

    the area today. Intense rainfall rates of two to four inches

    in a short time will be associated with these storms, and

    this could result in flash

    flooding.
