...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING THROUGH 

THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be 

  possible.



* WHERE...A portion of Central Highlands Maine, including the 

  following areas, Central Piscataquis and Southern Piscataquis.



* WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through this evening.



* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of small rivers, 

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - Rainfall totals of 1 to 1.5 inches with locally higher

    amounts can be expected across the area Friday into Friday

    evening. The rain will combine with snowmelt up to the

    equivalent of 2 inches of liquid. The combination of rain and

    snowmelt will cause streams and creeks to rise and may result

    in minor flooding.
