...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT SATURDAY 

FOR EASTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY...



At 1131 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms have 

moved east of the warning area. However, moderate rains continue 

over the warning area that can still produce rainfall amounts 

between 1 to 2 inches per hour on top of the already 3 and 5 inches 

of rain have fallen from the early thunderstorms. Law enforcement 

also reported via social media flash flooding on Southern Blvd near 

Washington Rd. 4 cars are stalled out in high waters. Flash flooding 

is ongoing in the area.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lake Worth, Palm 

  Beach, Ocean Ridge, Greenacres, Palm Springs, Lantana, Atlantis, 

  Haverhill, Cloud Lake, Gun Club Estates, Palm Beach International 

  Airport, Village Of Golf, Royal Palm Estates, Lake Belvedere 

  Estates, Downtown West Palm Beach, Dunes Road and Schall Circle.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
