...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM EDT EARLY THIS 

MORNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL CARROLL, COLUMBIANA, ALLEGHENY, FAYETTE, 

GREENE, WASHINGTON, WESTMORELAND, ARMSTRONG, BUTLER, SOUTHERN 

CLARION, INDIANA, BEAVER AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES...



At 1228 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated continued rain across the 

warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, with 

locally higher amounts   up to 4 inches. Additional rainfall amounts 

of 0.75 to 1.75 inches are possible in the warned area.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms and heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar indicated and local law enforcement reported.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Ross Township, 

  McCandless Township, Monroeville, Cranberry, Moon Township, New 

  Castle, McMurray, Greensburg, McKeesport, Indiana, Butler, 

  Washington, Franklin Park, Salem, East Liverpool and Uniontown.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.

HARRISON, JEFFERSON OH, MONROE, MUSKINGUM, NOBLE, TUSCARAWAS, 

BROOKE, HANCOCK, MARSHALL, OHIO AND WETZEL COUNTIES...



At 1228 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated continued rain across the 

warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, with some 

locations up to 4 inches. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 

inches are possible in the warned area. Multiple road closures have 

already been reported across the warned area.

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.

  Wheeling, Zanesville, Weirton, Steubenville, New Philadelphia, 

  Dover, East Liverpool, Cambridge, Moundsville, Martins Ferry, 

  Uhrichsville, New Martinsville, St. Clairsville, Bellaire, 

  Barnesville, Wellsville, Cadiz, Carrollton, Warwood and Wellsburg.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
